Venue Review…
The venue is not bad, for being a corporate joint. The staff was nice and accommodating and the sound was pretty good. No complaints, other than the parking-lot gridlock we all experienced at Downtown Disney – it was kind of a mess that night. I missed the first band because of the bad traffic and parking issues but made it in in time to see three great bands; Masters of Puppets, Allison Chains and the Iron Maidens – fun night of some of my favorite tributes!
It is located at:

Reviews, comments, and possible putdowns for The Iron Maidens…
I believe this is my 7th time photographing this band. Anyone who follows my concert photography knows that I tend to gravitate towards this band a lot and I’ve raved about them for many years. One of the bands I grew up listening to (since around 1980) is Iron Maiden and I have been to a lot of their gigs throughout the years. I think The Iron Maidens is way form me to continue hearing their music in a live setting. All I can say is that they sounded great on this night (as usual) but Kirsten’s voice has never sounded stronger – she nailed everything tonight, which is a really hard task to pull off. Not even Bruce Dickinson has been able to get to those “air-raid siren” notes he is known for on the albums at every gig… Well, perhaps on that 1982 tour when he threw his vocal cords to the wayside and abused the hell of them. Back to The Maidens… Outside of seeing them on AXS TV, this was the first time I’ve seen them with Nikki Stringfield on guitar and she nailed it as well. What a great night of top-notch tributes!
