One of the many bands to play at The Scene. I believe they got their name from a Cal Worthington car commercial and, much like the rest of us who knew the jingle, used the wrong words. I believe the jingle said “Pussy Cal” but it really sounded like “Pussy Cow.”
The Scene was a dive bar that had a one-light platform where local artists and national acts could share the stage and not have to deal with the politics and restrictions of big-name venues, but sometimes to the detriment of a small advertising budget. Fun place with bartenders who were reported to do a little over-pouring
