Pre-show banter…
I was photographing a friend’s art exhibit space before the doors opened and I heard some music coming from down the alley. It sounded very familiar so I ran out there and discovered that Mike Watt and the Secondmen were playing a free gig out in the open. I managed to get a few snapshots and then had to get back to the gallery.
Venue review…
No venue here, just a walkway/alley… It is not the type of alley that you see in films where it is dark, dirty and full of trash cans. This is more of a walkway. I can’t remember the exact location but it is just a little north of Amoeba Music in Hollywood.
