Reviews, comments, and possible putdowns for Max Collins…
Once again, this is another one of those gigs that I am writing about many years after the actual gig so my memory of the show is pretty non-existent. Jen contact me (she’s the keyboard player / backup singer in the photos) and asked if I’d be interested in photographing a gig she’s playing. A little backstory… I photographed her wedding the previous year and she knew that I was also into photographing bands so she reached out. Turns out that the gig was Max Collins, who is one of the founders of Eve 6. Here is a little bio I lifted from Wikipedia (donate if you can)…
James Maxwell Stuart “Max” Collins, Marms is an American musician, singer, and songwriter who is best known as the lead vocalist, primary songwriter, and bassist of the Alternative rock band Eve 6, which he co-founded with Jon Siebels. He has also launched a solo career in 2013 called Marms + The Car Deaths.
From what I remember, the music would fall into what I would call Acoustic-Pop. Pretty fun show – plus it was good to see Jen and Jeremy again.
