This was the third or fourth time seeing this band. You either like ‘em or you don’t – there is no in-between with them. The crowd was definitely rabid for the older material and the band gave them what they wanted, for the most part. I found it humorous when Dani said something to the likes of “now that we have the popular songs out of the way…” right after they performed Nymphetamine and ripped into a barrage of old material. This is a band that needs no introduction BUT if you are looking to try them on for size, I would say to go for the Cruelty And The Beast album first. Some of you are probably saying to go older than that one but anyone who is into this type of music has already searched this band out. The Cruelty release gives metal fans an in-between sound that merges the old and new, in my opinion. Nuff said…
For all my photographer friends out there… These images were shot with a Canon G9, which is the camera was able to get into the show. Cameras are allowed here as long as they have a fixed lens. I also didn’t have access to the pit so these were taken at a distance from the stage.
