Went out to Tarzana to check out some rock. It was quite the drive but ended up being pretty fun. I ran into a friend I hadn’t seen in many years so it was good catching up and taking some photos. First band up: Breakin’ the Law
Date: 3/22/2008
Venue: Paladino’s
City: Tarzana, CA
Set length: 1hr
This was my first time seeing a Priest cover/tribute band so I was excited to hear some of the music that got me through high school. I would categorize these guys as a band who are more fans of Priest than a true tribute to the band. They were not great but you could tell they enjoyed the music and picked songs that would satisfy most of the group’s deep catalog fans. The vocals are really what make Judas Priest and this was the part that was lacking. I’m not saying the singer had bad pipes but Halford’s shoes are REALLY hard to fill so there was a lot missing – mostly all the high notes. It didn’t really matter though, it was just good to hear some Priest. Thanks guys…
I was not able to find a link to this band. If you have one, send it to me or Comment below and I’ll post it.
