One of the best tribute bands I have ever seen! Ralph, who is now the singer for Steel Panther, plays the David Lee Roth we always wanted to see live. I saw Van Halen live with Diamond Dave back in the early 80’s and they were just plain horrible live. Dave was simply the worst frontman I have ever heard. Sure, he was entertaining, but live he couldn’t deliver the atomic sound they delivered on record. He was off-key, blabbered through half the words, and also seemed to forget half of them. Ralph from the Atomic Punks should have been Van Halen’s singer on stage. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the DLR Van Halen; especially the first 5 albums, but it broke my heart every time I saw them live. The Atomic Punks always delivered the Van Halen that all the fans loved and really wanted to see live!
Love these guys for keeping the spirit of VH’s six David Lee Roth era albums alive.
