Okay, I know that nobody in their right mind will ever read through this section but I have been advised to include all this information so here it is…

This is the part where I try to get people to stay away from using my photos without my consent. I thought about making this section fun and entertaining but there is nothing like that when it comes to legalities. So, after consulting my lawyer, here is what we came up with so that I would have a legal statement that would give me a leg to stand on in court if I was ever a victim of photo-theft. I know, it’s boring (and kinda corporate) but it has to be done…

WHAT I DO: ┬áis a website where I offer a collection of photos for viewing only. It is used as a portfolio piece as well as a place where potential clients can get in touch to hire my services… My photo services, you perv.

All photographs appearing on this site are the property of Ray Lundrigan / PhotoLinguist photography. They are protected by U.S. Copyright Laws, and are not to be downloaded or reproduced in any way without the written permission of Ray Lundrigan. Copyright 2010 Ray Lundrigan / PhotoLinguist. Also, I do reserve the right to change these terms as the need occurs.

One more thing… By visiting you agree not to download, copy, reproduce, sell, trade or misuse any of my imagery at any time, without written consent by me (Ray Lundrigan). If you are selling my work and we have had no prior conversation about your money-making ventures, then we will have legal problems. I’m just saying…

Okay, now here is a special notice to all the bands out there that I take shots of. I am a little bit of a music fan and really enjoy photographing bands in the live setting. For the most part, I usually give the bands the rights to use the photos I have posted for any marketing materials they may use as long as the photos are not used for sale of items and/or merchandise. Examples you ask? Well, an image (or part of an image) may NOT be used for t-shirts, albums (CDs, LPs, Tapes, hats, etc.) unless we have spoken about it and we have come to an agreement. If you make money from my photos then we need to have an agreement before you use them for profit. Got it? Good. Look, bottom line is that I get it, really I do. I was once in a couple of bands and didn’t have the money to pay photographers to take photos of us being idiots on stage, nor were we looking for that. There was no Internet when I was doing it and things have changed since the late 80’s / early 90’s. If you want to use photos I have taken for your website, Social Networking pages, etc., I have no issues with that – please do. I would be honored if any band likes my photos. All I ask is that you give me the proper credit for each photo you use. If you would like me to come to your gig to take photos, all you have to do is get in touch with me and make sure the venue is cool with cameras during your set. Easy, right?

All data I collect during the Newsletter Signup process, verbal or written discussions or any other form of communication is strictly for marketing PhotoLinguist. I will not sell, share or misuse any of the information you provide to me as I too am a regular internet signer-upper, so-to-speak, and I will treat your information the same way I would want my information treated.

Being that I have zero control over what other people do, cannot be held responsible for anything illegal, offensive, wrong, or moronic you may encounter on those other sites. If you do find something that might make it bad for me to advertise a third party website, please go to the “Get In Touch” section of this website and let me know.

Yes, the PhotoLinguist logo has been trademarked and all applicable laws that pertain to trademarks apply.

Phew, I’m glad that is over. Now go have some fun, buy one of my photos for your aunt or hire me for your kid’s Bar Mitzvah but please, get out of this boring section already…
