    • Camera: Canon 5D Mark III
    • Flash: None
    • Lenses: Canon 200mm f/2.8 and Canon’s 24-70mm f/2.8, 15mm f/2.8.

  • Venue Review – House of Blues, Anaheim:
The venue is great, the staff was nice and accommodating and the sound was pretty good. No complaints, other than the parking-lot gridlock we all experienced at Downtown Disney – it was kind of a mess that night. I missed the first band because of the bad traffic and parking issues but made it in in time to see three great bands; Masters of Puppets, Allison Chains and the Iron Maidens – fun night of some of my favorite tributes!

    It is located at:

  • Band: Allison Chains:
This is my 4th or 5th time seeing Allison Chains and they are one of my favorite tribute bands out there because they are not predictable and the setlist is always varied – sometimes it is very much on the hits side and at other times they have taken the mood to darker places. I like Alice in Chains but am not fanatical about them like some people I see at the shows so it definitely has to be something special to get me to go check out this band so many times. What makes Allison Chains so good is that they play the songs very well and are also fun to watch live. They also take the show and music and make it their own a little. By this I mean that they play hard, take the songs seriously but can also have a lot of fun with them. Few bands can get away with being able to do what they want with another band’s music and still be considered to be a must-see.

Please support Allison Chains as they do work really hard at what they do but still manage to have fun doing it. Thanks to Felicia (guitar player) for inviting me to the show – much appreciated! Also, Misai, who is their newest member (on drums) kicked ass – welcome to the band. You fit in perfectly!
